Reason behind floating of rocks on Ram Setu

The World is full of insane things. In today's world where science has reached to another level, still a lot to be explored like "Ram Setu".

"Ram Setu" 30 Km Long and 3 Km Wide. It Starts from Dhanushkodi tip of India’s Pamban Island and ends at Sri Lanka’s Mannar Island. The sea in these areas is very shallow.

"Ram Setu" never came away from our collective imagination. Is it true that there is a bridge under the sea between India and Lanka? Is it a miracle of the god or has it transformed by the hands of humankind? Actually, that bridge was prepared by the apes of Rama, by stone, by stone?

According to Hindu mythology, it is said that when God Ram was on his way to save his wife Sita from the hands of evil Raavan, a water body ( Palk Strait, Indian Ocean ) "Ram Setu" tried to resist their path. The army of apes with God Ram constructed a bridge over it "Ram Setu" with the help of rocks which started floating. Thus, when the name of God Ram was written on it.

Though it hears nothing more than imagination but somehow proved with a valid scientific reason.

The Final Verdict

If a sedimentary rock buried inside the earth surface for a very long period of time and it contains the amount of moisture i.e. H2O, then due to immense pressure on it oxygen escapes out slowly with time. Hydrogen trapped inside the rock and unable to escape out. As we all know Hydrogen: One of the lightest element known on earth. The intermolecular spaces in the rock start increasing and a time comes when the rock becomes so light that it can float on water. Higher the density, lesser the chances of floating.

Another possibility is that it might be a pumice stone. But the fact that denies its existence is that pumice can float on water but only for a certain time. Once water enters inside, it will sink.
