India's playing 11 for Champions Trophy 2017

After a lot of test cricket and the IPL scenario the Indian team is back in the blue Jersey. Indian team is ready to fight the battle for the Champions Trophy 2017. India are the defending Champions and they have to prove that they are really currently the best team in the world. India has to compete with world's top 7 teams. One thing India will surely require to win the Champions Trophy is the correct team combination. What will be India's playing 11 for Champions Trophy 2017. The 15 men squad has been selected.

According to me the correct playing 11 for India will be -:

Playing 11

Shikhar Dhawan

Although Shikhar Dhawan has not been in blistering form from last few months, but the one thing that has made selectors to pick him was his consistent performance in the ICC tournaments. Also the injury of KL Rahul made way for him in the team. He will be hoping to come back in form very soon and most probably he will do it.

Rohit Sharma

Ever since MS Dhoni has asked him to open the innings ,  Rohit Sharma has proved to be a different player since then. The current record holder in ODI for most runs in a single innings is surely an asset for India. He is truly a match winner and India will hope him to fire in the champions trophy.

Virat Kohli

Currently one of the best batsman in the world and a part of the furious 5 , Virat Kohli will be the most important member of the Indian team to look out for. India will surely want him to score heavily in the Champions Trophy if India wants to win it. The thing that goes against him is his poor record on england's soil. But no doubt he is the best one day player of the world and will perform very well because he is a different player in the blue jersey.

Yuvraj Singh

The most experience player in the Indian team Yuvraj Singh is a very important commodity for the Indian team. Attacking batsman with the Handy left arm orthodox will be one of the most important players to look out for. He can win the match single handedly for India. He is also said as the big tournament player for India. Being the most experience batsman in the team he will take responsibility of the middle order.

MS Dhoni

Mahendra Singh Dhoni probably the best wicket keeper batsman of the world will take the responsibility of the middle order with Yuvraj Singh. He is the second most experience player of Indian team. His wicket keeping skills should not be doubted. He is the finisher of the Indian cricket team. Although he has not been in a very good form from last few years but his ability to finish the game should not be doubted at all. He has been considered as the world's best finisher we have ever seen.

Kedar Jadhav

Kedar Jadhav has been the latest sensation for team India. He has proved his ability of finishing the games in a very well manner. He has been in a tremendous form in the last both the series India has played and also has scored few runs in the Indian Premier League. The only thing he lacks is temperament. But according to me with his few off spinners he has an edge over Dinesh Karthik due to his ball hitting ability.

Hardik Pandya

Hardik Pandya is surely the best fast bowling allrounder in India. He is a good bowler and a very good finisher batsman too. As we know Champions Trophy is being played in England , he is a must have player in the english conditions. With his hitting power and pacy deliveries he can prove to be a worthy player.

Ravindra Jadeja

Ravindra Jadeja was the golden ball winner and the last Champions Trophy picking up 12 wickets. He has an edge over Ravichandran Ashwin in english conditions. His skidding balls with less turn can prove to be really dangerous. He is accurate. He is also the best fielder of the Indian cricket team. He can turn the game around with his fielding and bowling. He is also handy batsman and can hit some big shots to provide momentum to the team.

Ravichandran Ashwin

He has been out of action for whole of last month. But he is the best off spinner in India and the world. He can also bat very well and can provide stability in the lower order if needed. His variations trouble the batsman the most. He was the unsung hero of the finals of the last Champions Trophy.

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar

As we know India has to fight the battle in the Champions Trophy in English conditions. English conditions provide energy to the swing bowlers especially. Bhuvaneswar Kumar is one of those bowlers who can surely avail some benefit of those conditions. He has been in a fine form in the whole IPL and was the Purple cap winner.

Jasprit Bumrah

Jasprit bumrah is the best find for India in last few years. He is the best death bowler India has ever produced. Has made India won the toughest matches India has ever played. He is bowling really well from last few months and is one of those bowlers who have learnt very quickly. Is currently the best death bowler of the world and will really prove handy if India face some tight matches.

So according to me this is the playing 11 of the Indian cricket team for the Champions Trophy 2017. What are your views share in comments.

Bench Strength

Dinesh Karthik

Dinesh Karthik has looked good in last few months in the domestic circuit as well as IPL 2017. He is the contender for the middle order and surely will give a tough fight to the young lad Kedar Jadhav. The bunch of experience he carries with him can be a plus point for him. He can replace Jadhav in the middle order if required.

Umesh Yadav

Umesh Yadav , one of the fastest bowler India has ever produced has changed significantly. His game has changed a lot over last few years. He looks totally different with the red ball but is still to prove his worth with the white ball. He proves costly in the death overs which is a huge drawback for him to make a place in the playing 11. He will have to work hard for his spot.

Mohammad Shami

India's brilliant pace bowler has been leader of pace attack in last few years. His bowling with a great mind presence is a rare commodity. he has the ability to swing the ball both ways and proves really dangerous. Fitness is a real issue he has to deal with. He may join as the 3rd specilist fast bowler in the team. But Indian team will have to play a less batsman. He requires only 13 wickets in 5 innings to become the fastest bowler to 100 ODI wickets in the world.

Ajinkya Rahane

Most calm player of Indian team has been struggling hard to find his form from many days. He has failed in all the 3 formats in last few months, He needs to come back strongly if he wants to make a comeback in the playing 11.
